As a volunteer with the Mississauga Minor Football Association (MMFA), you play a crucial role in providing a positive and supportive environment for young athletes. This Code of Conduct outlines the behaviors and expectations for all volunteers to ensure that every participant has a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience in the program.
- Commitment to the Organization’s Mission
- Support the MMFA Vision: Uphold and promote the values and goals of the Mississauga Minor Football Association, focusing on fostering a safe, inclusive, and positive environment for all participants.
- Promote Player Development: Assist in creating a space where players can grow, develop their skills, and enjoy the sport. Support the overall mission of the MMFA to build strong, confident, and well-rounded athletes.
- Respect for All Participants
- Treat Everyone with Respect: Interact with players, coaches, parents, officials, and other volunteers in a respectful, professional, and courteous manner. Ensure that all individuals feel valued and supported within the program.
- Encourage Positive Behavior: Act as a role model for positive attitudes and behaviors, promoting inclusivity and teamwork among players and their families. Foster an environment free from discrimination, harassment, or bias of any kind.
- Promote Safety and Well-being
- Prioritize Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of all players by following established safety protocols, maintaining awareness of any health or injury concerns, and adhering to the MMFA’s guidelines for player safety.
- Be Proactive in Injury Prevention: Stay informed about injury prevention, including warm-up routines, hydration, and concussion protocols. Report any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate individuals immediately.
- Maintain Professionalism and Integrity
- Adhere to Ethical Standards: Perform all volunteer duties with honesty, integrity, and accountability. Avoid any actions or behaviors that could compromise the safety, reputation, or integrity of the MMFA.
- Respect Program Policies: Follow all rules, policies, and guidelines set forth by the MMFA. Ensure that all interactions and decisions align with the values and objectives of the organization.
- Confidentiality and Privacy
- Respect Confidentiality: Keep any sensitive or personal information about players, families, and other volunteers confidential. Only share such information when required for the safety and well-being of the participants, and in accordance with the MMFA’s privacy policies.

- Maintain Positive Relationships with Coaches, Parents, and Players
