Dear MMF Members, 

As a valued parent, volunteer and member of Mississauga Minor Football during the 2025 season, you are invited to join our annual general meeting and help shape the future of football in Mississauga.  We continued to grow our program in 2025 and are very excited about our Huskie teams in 2026!

Having said that, community football is a time-consuming and, at times, challenging labour of love for those involved and we are in need of additional volunteers as we move forward.  Whatever your skill set is, if you love football or have a child who loves football, we would welcome your time and talents with open arms.  It goes without saying that the MMF could not successfully run its youth football programs within our great Mississauga community without the commitment of dedicated volunteers, so please consider joining the meeting and continuing your involvement in 2026.  

The AGM will consist of a review of 2025 operations, an outline of the proposed 2026 programs along with the election of the 2026/2027 Board of Directors.

If you are interested in joining our Board of Directors or know of a parent, family member or friend who would be interested, please read through the criteria below and then reach out to a current Board member or reply to this email as soon as possible.  We will be taking nominations up until 5pm ET on Friday, January 30, 2026.  

If you are interested in volunteering with our organization in any other capacity (ie. working bingo, coaching, helping with registration events, social media/marketing, game-day activations, sponsorship, etc.) please respond to this email and/or attend our AGM.  We would love to have you involved.

Board of Directors Criteria

1.  Must be 18 year of age or older and have been actively involved with the MMF as a volunteer or parent of a player for 12 months, or for two football seasons.  (Volunteers include Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Team Managers, Assistant Team Managers, Stick Crew , Scorekeepers, Fundraisers, Social Media & Promotional Marketers/Volunteers, Game Day Concession & Gate Volunteers, Parent Council members, Gaming Hall/Bingo volunteers.)

2.  Must be willing & able to attend Board of Directors meetings monthly (second Wednesday of each month)

3.  Must be willing to take an active role as a director to ensure the efficient running of the league throughout the year

4. Must be willing to volunteer at the Rama Gaming Hall & Bingos throughout the year (1 2hr shift per month – this is our most significant fundraising activity)
